Marriage agreements refer to the public deed in which spouses stipulate, modify, or replace the economic regime of their marriage or any other provisions related to it. In the absence of such agreements, the supplementary economic regime of the applicable territory will be applied (in common law territory, the community property regime).

We currently provide the service of Marriage Agreements, and below we detail the necessary documentation.

Prior to the marriage:

  • ID (D.N.I.) of the spouses-to-be, date, and place of the marriage.

After the marriage:

  • ID (D.N.I.) of the spouses and family book.

  • If there are liquidations of community property: property titles, cadastral references (latest property tax receipt), bank account balances or vehicle registration cards, the value assigned to each, and the method of allocation to each spouse.

  • If there is any loan pending payment: the outstanding amount and who will be responsible for it.
